Abstract
Effective monitoring of transient overvoltage is the key to field testing, fault analysis and optimal design of power systems. Nowadays, the voltage monitoring and overvoltage monitoring of the power grid mostly use the traditional contact voltage divider system. This measurement method needs to be connected to a device to obtain the signal, which has certain safety hazards and has a narrow measurement frequency band, weak anti-electromagnetic interference ability, and poor installation and maintenance. Therefore, research on the grid overvoltage non-contact sensor with good broadband response characteristics can effectively avoid the cumbersome coaxial cable wiring at the test site, and eliminate the risk of personal electric shock caused by the wired test of high-voltage equipment. It is safe, reliable, and can provide data support for further research. This paper studies a non-contact overvoltage measurement system based on an integrated electro-optic field sensor and applies it to on-site measurement. The on-site testing results of the measurement system are compared with the waveform recorded by the fault recorder to verify the effectiveness of the method.
