Abstract
Demand response (DR) programs are potentially powerful tools to support renewable energy integration, ensure power balance and update electricity market mechanism in China. Based on the existing work, we propose a day-ahead market clearing model with the DR program of self-reported baseline mechanism in this paper. The proposed day-ahead market clearing model aims to minimize the operating cost under security constraints, yielding the optimal units’ states and power outputs. Two types of consumers, i.e., instant load and shiftable load, are considered in such model. An IEEE 14-bus system is used as an illustrative example and a simplified Shandong province system is used to validate the application of proposed market clearing model in the real large system.
