Abstract
With the rapid growth of wind power penetration rate, grid-connected wind farms bring the problems of the power system in power quality degradation and system stability degradation, which have attracted widespread attention from scholars at home and abroad. Based on investigating the requirements for primary frequency regulation of wind farms at home and abroad, this paper compares the control strategies of wind turbine with the wind farm primary frequency regulation. Besides, it clarifies the principles, scope of application, advantages, and disadvantages of various control strategies. Additionally, this paper analyzes the objective function of active power coordinated control between wind turbines in the wind farm. Finally, it looks forward to the key content of future research: one is the power allocation strategy should reduce dependence on model accurate data, another is the balance between active power storage capacity and cost of wind farms.
