Abstract
Abstract -- In this paper, the electromagnetic interference of a high voltage pulse discharge device is simulated and analyzed. The interference source, transmission route, and sensitive equipment are identified. The electromagnetic interference (EMI) problem is analyzed in detail by using the field-circuit cooperative electromagnetic simulation software CST. The simulation results show the voltage coupling caused by the high voltage of the main discharge to the electronic circuit of the control module, and the interference caused by the external electromagnetic pulse to the internal cable. Besides, through the simulation of the shielding effectiveness of the enclosure, some suggestions are given so that this kind of enclosure can resist electromagnetic interference from both outside and inside. By referring to the simulation of the electromagnetic interference mentioned in this paper, readers can get the ideas and methods of how they can use CST to deal with similar electromagnetic interference problems in their own device. This paper also shed light on the approach to distinguish the key elements of electromagnetic interference in similar devices or situations that contain both high power equipment and low power electronic equipment.
